Mr. Heineman has over 25 years of experience involved in owning, operating, and developing successful companies and master developments. Mr. Heineman is an owner and former CEO of Major League Soccer team, Sporting Kansas City. In his role as CEO, he partnered with the Unified Government of Kansas City, Kansas and the State of Kansas to develop over $300 million of sports and entertainment assets through the State’s STAR Bond program. He is also the co-founder of Homefield, an amateur athletics company which serves as master developer for approximately $400 million of mixed-use development in Kansas City, Kansas at the site of the former Schlitterbahn water park. When completed, this $150 million STAR bond project will include 250 market-rate apartments, a 260-room Margaritaville resort, 8 turfed and lighted baseball fields, and approximately 150,000 square feet of indoor field house space. Mr. Heineman has been involved in over $1 billion of public-private partnerships in the past 15 years and his projects have won more than 100 awards worldwide for design, experience, and the use of technology.
